Hundreds of people could not have been so mistaken, especially when Jesus offered clear evidence of it. But it was not an earthbound body. It was something that bore a developmental relationship to an earthly human body, but it was not identical with it. There was clearly a continuity of life between the body of Jesus and the body of the resurrected Jesus, but in the process of resurrection it had undergone a very fundamental change. That, at least, seems obvious. So much for the list of dissimilarities; the body of Jesus after the resurrection had a different appearance and also a different "form". It was "like" the previous body, it had some sort of developmental relationship to it, but it was obviously not "identical" with it. Now we must consider the similarities. Strangely, they all came down to one factor, but that factor is so important that it outweighs all the dissimilarities. It is simply this: Jesus before and after the resurrection was undeniably the same person. No matter what extraordinary changes had taken place in his bodily form, all who knew him well had no doubt at all who he was. They "knew" it was the Lord.

We welcome the fact that it was made, we think that it's a positive step, but there's also an agreement ...

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/31251

We welcome the fact that it was made, we think that it's a positive step, but there's also an agreement that it's an insufficient step,

There is in souls a sympathy with sounds.

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/58517

There is in souls a sympathy with sounds.

Friendship's the privilege of private men; for wretched greatness knows no blessing so substantial.

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/65783

Friendship's the privilege of private men; for wretched greatness knows no blessing so substantial.

We did a nice job.

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/32031

We did a nice job.

Puns are a form of humor with words.rn

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/64196

Puns are a form of humor with words.rn

Our life is composed greatly from dreams, from the unconscious, and they must be brought into connection with action. DC Studios was finally deducting Federal Taxes, another step we looked forward to during this acquisition. This happened twice in November, yet no new contracts had been drawn which justified any Dallas member as an actual employee of DC Studios. We questioned this matter, and in December, our first check came in and it was back to the old figures, where no taxes were being taken out. So where did our Federal Tax money go, not to mention the withholdings for Health Insurance, which we found out was canceled due to non-payment?

Being Lutheran, Mother believed that self-pity is a deadly sin and so is nostalgia, and she had no time for ...

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/46616

Being Lutheran, Mother believed that self-pity is a deadly sin and so is nostalgia, and she had no time for either

Happy he With such a mother! faith in womankind Beats with his blood, and trust in all things high ...

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/43215

Happy he With such a mother! faith in womankind Beats with his blood, and trust in all things high Comes easy to him, and though he trip and fall, He shall not blind his soul with clay.

Ere you consult your fancy, consult your purse.

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/13339

Ere you consult your fancy, consult your purse.

Oh that I were seated as high as my ambition, I'd place my naked foot on the necks of monarchs.

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/2376

Oh that I were seated as high as my ambition, I'd place my naked foot on the necks of monarchs.

All of those guys were supposed to come over here with him and I think that's one of the reasons ...

http://www.maxioms.com/maxiom/41380

All of those guys were supposed to come over here with him and I think that's one of the reasons he doesn't want to come. Paul, too, used this expression, but he placed alongside it a parallel form of words, "in Christ" or "in Christ Jesus". Where we find these words used we are being reminded of the intimate union with Christ which makes the Christian life an eternal life lived in the midst of time. The deeper shade of meaning would often be conveyed to our minds if we translated the phrase "in communion with Christ". But, Paul's Christ mysticism is saved from the introverted individualism of many forms of mysticism by his insistence that communion with Christ is also communion with all who are Christ's.

If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible.
